Operation MILF, Week 11

Just keeping up with my weekly “fitness” blogs, if you can call ’em that if I’m only fitnessing about 75% of the time.  😛

Monday 9/28– I’ve been sick the last couple days but I really wanted to get in gear seeing as it’s Monday and I’m not getting any thinner by slacking off. So I hit the gym and made a point of getting my 10k steps, even if it meant 30-min on the treadmill and a little bit of pacing during MNF. I realized I am way weaker than I thought when I saw at the gym that the Smith machine bar only weighs 15-lbs. I thought it would be 45, so my logged lifts on the Smith machine before today are way off. Oops. I was under 900 calories today – I know, I know, MFP already yelled at me. That wasn’t intentional, just how it worked out eating light and not snacking much and not having a big appetite being sick and all. By the time I added up everything I’d eaten it was bedtime and I’m not all that hungry really.  I weighed in this morning at 144.6, which is a 5.6-lb loss since start of Week 1 (unimpressive), and 1.8 lbs up from my low.  I think I’ll shoot for 140.0 by cruise time in 3 months. 4.6 lbs in 3 months should be easy, in theory, but I’ll have some visits from outta state friends, Halloween, Mister Guy’s 1st birthday, Thanksgiving, and Christmas between now and then and I intend to enjoy some candy, birthday cake, rolls, potatoes, egg nog, cookies, and booze. Not to mention 140.0 is pretty darn low for me. And I’m over 30 so quick, easy weight loss isn’t really a thing.

Operation MILF, Week 11 starts off with a Monday gym visit and light meals

Tuesday 9/29– weighed in at 143.0, and ate 1350 calories today. Friend me on MFP – Roach621 – to view my food/exercise diary. 30 min treadmill + leg day + 20 min evening walk w hubs & the boy. I got up over 14k steps for the day. 👍 Ate light again. Made crockpot cream cheese chicken chili from a Pinterest recipe – I used the Greek yogurt/cream cheese hybrid I found to lower the fat and calorie count. The whole crockpot was 1820 calories and I guessed I ate maybe 1/4 of it- the recipe said it makes 4 servings. So delicious creamy chili on a cool evening for 455 cal? Sign me up! Here’s the link to my Pinterest board with the recipes I’ve actually made: Been There, Ate That. I was allowed a few hundred more calories for the day so I measured out some hummus & pita chips. 2 servings of hummus and 1 serving of chips looked pretty meager to be 270 calories. Time to get veggies to eat with the hummus instead of chips!

Downright scary how many calories I must consume when I don’t measure my snack foods!


Wednesday 9/30– tied my lowest weigh in since I started about 2.5 months ago @ 142.8 -same as Sept 3rd. Can’t complain. Really glad my slacking off a bit these last couple weeks wasn’t a big deal. I don’t feel all that light, though, so I’m hoping that will come soon. I got in my 30-min on the ‘mill this morning, then did a couple ab machines. I kinda feel like the time on the ab machines would be better spent doing cardio, but oh well, when I do lose the flab maybe there will be some muscle there to shine through. 😉 I was slightly over 1400 calories but if I allow myself the calories I burned during my workout I’m good. And my 200-cal of wine after baby bedtime was medicinal, so it doesn’t even really count.

Thursday 10/1– happy October! It was a perfect fall morning to workout in my basement because I can’t go for a run and leave my baby asleep in his crib. 😛 I spent time with Shaun T this morning, workin’ on my fitness. My weigh-in was 0.8 up from yesterday at 143.6. Eh, it’s all good.  Worked out, got over 12k steps today, and ate 1300 calories. I cleaned the house tonight after bedtime so that helped the step count and now my house isn’t such a hell-hole – win-win! Weekends full of showings &/or open houses, plus traveling took time away from my chores getting done. But company coming tomorrow helped motivate me to clean for 2 hours tonight and a couple hours earlier this week.  We’re supposed to have company for the next week-ish, so I’m sure my food/booze intake will increase accordingly. 🙂

Friday 10/2 – 142.8 lbs…still low.  Went out with my favorite lil blond this evening – looooong overdue!  I had a baby and she got a boyfriend so our hang out sessions are few and far between these days. 🙁  So anyway, we’ll just leave today at this:

Saturday 10/3-Sunday 10/4 – Company in town this weekend so all willpower and healthiness (wait, that’s a word?? It doesn’t have red squigglies underneath it, so…yeah) was non-existent.  Ate a lot, drank a little (seriously, only like 1 beer and 1 mimosa – so there!), and zero workouts.  Oopsy-daisy!  Whaddyagonnado?
