Operation MILF: Week 7: Push You

Man these weeks go by faster and faster as time goes on. Friday again! This week was a good week overall, and I’m at a total loss of 7.2 pounds since I started. 👍 I worked out Monday through Friday this week, so I’m happy with that. I upped my weight on the 2-3x/week I actually lift and that feels good. I realized I was just kinda coasting through doing weight I was comfortable with and new I could do 3 sets of 10 of and called it good. I still sweat and my muscles still fatigued, but it occurred to me that I wasn’t experiencing the soreness I’ve been  used to in the past after a good workout. Not that I like being super duper sore, but I do like to have a bit of the good hurt to know I had a good weight-lifting sesh. 

I also pushed myself to jog the treadmill on a couple days I reeeeally didn’t want to. And made myself workout on a couple days I didn’t want to. But once I got going I was fine. Just had to start.  Keep your eye on the prize and power through your time at the gym. There’s no point in going if you’re just there to walk around and shoot the sh!t and stretch. Having that kinda time to waste would be cool, so I suppose if you have it and don’t care that you’re not getting in an actual workout, go for it. Maybe you just want to flaunt your fancy matching workout gear or “be seen.” That’s your call. But if you are there to get work in, get it in and don’t hold back. The time will pass anyway, so you might as well make the most of it. You’ll thank yourself afterward. 

Week 7 Summary:  0.6 lb loss for the week, 7.2 lb total over the past 7 weeks. Mon-Fri workouts. Only 2 solid days of calorie counting, but still ate okay.  Friend me on MyFitnessPal- Roach621. 


Daily Summaries:

Saturday 8/29– Your honor, may this day be stricken from the record, please. Thank you. Today…was pub crawl day. The one day each year it is not only socially acceptable, but charitable to be hammered by 2:00 pm and passed out by 7:00. There were pitchers and pizza and pitchers and Chick-fil-A and pitchers today. And it was glorious. One giant bender for Rachelle-kind, one small step toward curing cancer…or something like that. 

 Sunday 8/30– Didn’t weigh-in or workout today, because, come on…duh.  I actually wasn’t hung over- one of the benefits of drinking in the afternoon and getting a bunch of sleep afterward. I was just lazy. And my child is a psychopath (see video…seriously, all day with the screeching. Allllll. Day. Thank goodness I wasn’t hungover because I got a headache from this alone) 

[wpvideo qzhEUwSZ] so I wasn’t in the mood. Instead I had bacon for breakfast, pizza for lunch, and cookies for dinner. That’s the gist anyway.

Monday 8/31– Still no weigh-in, but I did workout. 30 min on the treadmill (25 @ 5.0, 5 @ 4.0) + chest/back day. I had good intentions of calorie counting, judging by the 35 calories of coffee creamer I logged in the morning. And I didn’t binge or anything, just didn’t count. And I baked cookies yesterday and may have eaten a few too many and since I didn’t figure the calories of each when I made them I didn’t bother trying to keep track.

Tuesday 9/1– Again, today I only managed to log my 35 calories of creamer. BUT! I did do 30-min on the elliptical. I know, I know, cop out exercise, but still. Check!  And when I don’t count that doesn’t necessarily mean I’m a total f@t@$$ or having a “cheat day” or whatever. I’m still being conscious of eating decently well. Most of the time anyway…

Wednesday 9/2– finally did some counting and weighed in today. 1-lb heavy from Friday, which I’m happy with considering pub crawl weekend. 1100 calories, so on the low side, but again it was just a busy day- like, I measured a bowl of cereal and milk for dinner after getting home late from work.  30 min on the treadmill (27 @ 5.0 mph, 3 @ 4.0 mph) + leg day. 

Thursday 9/3– down at a total loss of 7.4 lbs this morning and a new low since I started 7 weeks ago. Woo! Insanity: Pure Cardio, 25 min. 1200 calories intake for the day.

Friday 9/4– up 0.2 lbs from yesterday. Eh. NBD. So 7.2 lbs down over 7 wks. I’ll take it! Insanity: Plyo, 29 min. About the calories….riiiiight, sooo…I had coffee for breakfast, burger and fries at lunch, and a chicken sandwich and fries for dinner. And some birthday cake. Oops. Needless today, no need to weigh in tomorrow morning. I’ll sit on this for a day or two. 😛
